Well I am on the beach here on the north slope. I am at a drilling rig for a few days. Out of phone service and I worked 26 hours straight yesterday. I am transitioning to a 6 pm to 6 am shift. Everything about being on the rig is awesome. I learned about the company man, tool pusher, driller, roughnecks, directional driller, mud man, MWD engineer, geologist, drilling engineers and much more. We were going down hole with a Triple Combo " Nuclear Tool, Resistivity Tool, and a MWD tool" everything was looking good until we got to about 8000 ft where we had to pull the tool out of the hole and change our rotatory steerable tools. Now it is 10:13 at night and it is Bright out and we are waiting for them to get the pipe back to the bottom of the hole. Then we will start drilling again. The picture below, all of those cement pads will be a well on this location. The drilling rig doesn't move far before we drill another well in a new direction. Its a little chilly up here, but I love it.
