NSTC and Flat Top

So today I went and took NSTC or North Slope Training Co-operative. I learned about the special practices and procedures of the North Slope. Most importantly to give wildlife the right of way and to keep the environment as clean as possible. It was a very interesting class and I took a lot from it.

Next we went to the BP building and got our BP exploration badge. We had to watch a movie about proper procedures used on BP sites. There are some differences that will need to be followed. For the most part though it is the same policies. This badge gave me the right to be on BP sites which is awesome and hopefully I will be there soon.

Now that the work for the day was done we went to Flat Top and hiked to the top of it. It was a lot of fun. Travis, Cory, and I made it clear up there and took many pictures. Some of those pictures are shown here. It was a blast. Tomorrow I leave for the north slope and hope to start working. This just started and its still a dream.
