E Line

So I have been out on some wireline jobs lately. So people may wonder what is a wireline job. So there is a Wire, with an electrical connector that relays particular data to the logging truck. This data can come from many different tools and can be used for many different things. There are cased hole and open hole processes. This is a different type of Job from D&M because the jobs are much shorter. The pictures provided show the logging unit, the crane, and the piece that connects to the top of the well. Now, one may wonder "why we are running tools into a well, aren't they under pressure?". Which is very true, but the apparatus shown in the pictures uses grease and other secondary measures to overcome the pressure of the well. So the pressure in the tower of iron is higher than the pressure of the well making it hold the resource in. Very crazy process that you must see to believe.
